Thursday Morning Painting
Thursday morning painting - here we have Helen painting, in oils, from a photo of Loch Callon, in Pollock, Scotland. (The photo was taken on her recent visit to Scotland to catch up with family and friends.)
Welcome to Jean who recently celebrated her 91 yrs young birthday with Thursday art group. Jean has previously taught art classes at Grenfell Centre and attended University of the Third Age painting classes.
Jean's art journey started with oils but she is proficient in acrylic and watercolour with a passion for pastels. Jean brings a wealth of knowledge with her art and life experience.

A very welcome addition to our Thursday painting class - Annette Newman, who shared with us her photo album of her excellent paintings, both in oils and watercolours . Annette comes to us from University of the Third Age at Modbury, where as she has painted in oils for many years has now changed to watercolours for convenience.
"Welcome Annette!"

Mediums were varied at today's ArtsNorth Judd House venue.
Gerhard was being versatile sculpting; Hans was working on what he describes as a “pretty” seascape from Port Adelaide, in his favoured oils; Colleen was excelling in her current medium of acrylics with a very challenging portrait study;……. and Sue was practicing portraits in watercolour focusing on Jimmy Hendrix and attempting study of hands, again! Practice, practice, practice.
As ever a morning thoroughly enjoyable, shared with fellow friends and artists.
