Next sched session - 16 Feb Historically this group has come together fortnightly, currently on a Thursday evening (5.15 - 7.45pm), to practise drawing subjects from observation, ie whatever is in front of you - a totally different (and more elusive) skill to that of drawing from a photograph. Guidance is available to anyone wanting it...otherwise, Rafferty's Rules; 'do your own thing'. But, importantly, you don't have to be able to draw already .. you can learn to draw (anybody can learn to draw!) In fact, there is an assumption that you can't draw already. Currently the cost is a $3 'studio' fee for each 2-3 hr session. (Pro-rata (Apr -Apr) annual Arts North membership (currently $35/annum) is required after first two attendances) contact: Don 0417892019 |

A 'doodle' can be a doddle!
Just for something different ..
(Surprising things can pop up when you least expect, especially if you take turns to 'make a mark')

After a Covid hiatus, General Drawing seems to 'have hit the straps' with a bunch of new members.
Drawings below from Rebecca and Ruth, both 'rank beginners', are a lovely outcome for people with less than a half dozen sessions under their belts (click to enlarge). Oct 21.
