Next sched session -  16 Feb

Historically this group has come together fortnightly, currently on a Thursday evening (5.15 - 7.45pm), to practise drawing subjects from observation, ie whatever is in front of you - a totally different (and more elusive) skill to that of drawing from a photograph.

Guidance is available to anyone wanting it...otherwise, Rafferty's Rules; 'do your own thing'.

But, importantly, you don't have to be able to draw already .. you can learn to draw (anybody can learn to draw!)  In fact, there is an assumption that you can't draw already.

Currently the cost is a $3 'studio' fee for each 2-3 hr session.   (Pro-rata (Apr -Apr) annual Arts North membership (currently $35/annum) is required after first two attendances)

Just for something different ..

(Surprising things can pop up when you least expect, especially if you take turns to 'make a mark')

We
Are
BACK!

After a Covid hiatus, General Drawing seems to 'have hit the straps' with a bunch of new members.
Drawings below from Rebecca and Ruth, both 'rank beginners', are a lovely outcome for people with less than a half dozen sessions under their belts (click to enlarge). Oct 21.

Glynis persevering ... so inspirational to see someone draw something complex which they possibly thought to be 'too hard'. Thanks Glynis. Well Done! You have made my day. Don. Sep 19
