25 Mar 23 - Double Trouble - 2 x Models
Great to see a good turn out for this challenging session - twice as much to draw, but same length of time in which to draw it. (arms n legs going eveywhere)  Our thanks to the excellent models!

5 Nov 22 ... a little bit different!!  a model we do not get to see often - and a cello which we had not seen before, and certainly had not heard before .. (played while we drew!!)  lovely!  these drawings from Glynis - (click to enlarge) ... the two showing the cello were with the model in motion!  great stuff!

"This 25 minute pose was drawn digitally by Colin Ross Trenaman using the Android App called Autodesk Sketchbook, which you can get for free on the internet to download directly to your smartphone (this is not a paid advertisement, other apps are available).

This particular app makes use of the smartphone's touchscreen, and this image has been drawn with the artist's relatively thick fingertip (compared to the smartphone screen, that is).

The resulting lack of precision in the mark-making can provide an enjoyable challenge, and the end product can be quite aesthetically appealing as a result of the continual process of refinement. Colin has translated his traditional sculptural charcoal-drawing style over into the digital medium to create this image."

A metamorphosis created recently by Colin Treneman on Autodesk Sketchbook (see above), layering his life drawings.  (Images lifted. with his permission, from Colin's blogsite)  Congratulations, Colin.

This Yvonne East exhibition was featured on our website 'events' page ... and had time-expired.  I went to remove it ... and couldn't just 'delete' it.  So here it is for a while longer. D.
