Long-time Arts North member Steve Oatway has also elected to have a 'Gallery' page on this website.  Beyond sharing his works, Steve gives an insight to his considerable interest in fostering art in the community.
Gerhard Ritter now has an Arts North 'Gallery' page, also with a clickable link to his blog page. This has come about, as much as anything else, due to the 'overwhelming' number of successes his works have enjoyed in recent weeks .. outstanding! (Please click below to visit Gerhard's new 'Gallery' page)  'The Nightwatch' - acrylic (Winner Watershed Art Prize)  Wednesday 16th May, we were lucky to attend a demo at Arts North by multi talented pastelist, Joe Dennis, a lovely down to earth lady eager to share her tips on improving our prowess at pastel painting. In the three hours Joe painted two beautiful landscapes which were amazing. A great day appreciated by all who attended. Thank you to Joe and to Colleen who organised the day. Lyn    Once again we have manned our pop-up 'gallery' to do the Arts North week-long (membership) promotion at the Munno Para Shopping Centre. Time will tell the effectiveness. Many thanks to all who gave their time and effort; a special thanks, too, to Hans Koppan who gave not only time and effort but also again donated the raffle prize .. his painting of the Murray (Swan Reach?) shown above. (The raffle was won by Sandra B., a member of the public who was very quick off the mark, coming to claim her prize within no time at all - may she long enjoy it.)  |
