Particular Omission Dare I say Damn? Damn! I have just discovered that a VERY special matter got overlooked in the construction/composition of this 'new' bulletin' feature, this last month. Meredith Parker was an 'acceptance' in the RSASA Solar Art Prize - where Hans was also particularly successful (see below). Meredith, congratulations! It doesn't happen for everyone! Everyone, certainly, was thrilled for you. (It never happens as often as anyone may wish - for many it has never happened.) Yea! Congratulations Hans! 2nd Prize RSASA Solar Art Prize - $6,000 voucher for solar products: Hans Koppan, Finke River at Glen Helen, oil painting During the drought, the Glen Helen waterholes is a refuge for nine species of fish known to inhabit the Finke River system. You will also see waterbirds such as ducks, herons and waders here while pelicans and black swans appear from time to time. Thanks to its chain of waterholes the Finke is like a highway for migratory waterbirds Then .. seems we need to stay tuned as Robert Martin embarks on his latest project .. painting HIS car! (Is there a shortage of canvas?? Or a surfeit of cars?) Photo shows Helen adding her expertise, or is it Robert providing guidance? .."...sticky side down, Helen!"
Seems the handprints are from Art Society members (the last person who asked for mine was bigger than Robert and had a truncheon.) Hey, simple isn't it? Hey, why didn't you do it? (Same reason I didn't do it - did not put head into the right space and think about what COULD be). Time for a head change - even if you don't have an acre of nature, you have a mile of headspace .. and it's all yours Then, while you are in the mood, what kept you from something like this? Oh, I see, no wire mesh! OK! Wire Sculptures by Derek Kinzett #artpeople |
