The Arts North visit to the Adelaide Art Gallery's 'Colours of Impressionism' was very rewarding. Not only was it an opportunity to see and closely examine famous works (first time available in Adelaide), but the guided tour given to members was presented with an emphasis on, not only the much considered 'painting of light', but also the particular techniques and compositional elements that all successful works display. Very informative.
And, yes, this wonderful opportunity was presented to Arts North members as a 'gift' - Arts North picked up the tab! Thanks to all concerned.
