A warm but pleasant (Adelaide) evening for a Barbie (Wednesday 12 Dec).
Prawns (lobster?) seemed to be in short supply but anyone who went short of a sausage either wasn't trying or needs to chat about self assertion. Great salads and savories, as always.
Lovely to see (Eliz Art Soc founding member) Frank Boyle's wife and son (Sheila and Simon).
Name tags were all the go (for about 5 mins - not designed for 'pleasant' Adelaide BBQ temperatures.) But, the possibility of being 'named' kept everybody on their best behavior (and, seemingly, in the chair originally occupied?)
Apart from Meredith's President's welcome, the highlight (beyond the tucker and the company) was probably Meredith's invitation for people to actually go around and look at the works assembled on the walls. Thanks to all who contributed.
And, of course, thank you to the Committee who have given their time, not just to a BBQ, but to another successful year for Arts North.
Merry Christmas!!
