Face To Face is a series of zen-inspired artworks using recycled found materials, reincarnated into an eclectic range of intriguing portraits. Former local artist (and Arts North member), Steve Oatway said it’s an honour to be home showcasing his artwork. “No matter what age, (it was great) to see the connection (people) had with the faces and (to see the people) excited by the materials used,” Steve said. And this established artist has some words of advice for others aspiring to make a career of it. “Just keep putting your work out there, if it’s not out there nobody is going to see it.”

(Steve and Arts North member Colin attended a three hour life drawing workshop on Saturday the 5th August at the Great Hall in the Playford Civic centre where one of the drawing exercises was to draw Steve's faces.)
