MiXed Media was introduced recently by Meredith Parker to a group of members who looked more like a bunch of kindergarten kids, as baby powder, craft glue and a couple of other ingredients were used to make modelling paste.
This formed the foundation for diverse and interesting creations on paper and canvas. The additional use of stencils, hessian, sand, shell grit, twigs, leaves, string, wool, printed matter and even gutter guard, old and new art, pencils, brush and paint, palette knives and fingers, came together in cohesive designs, patterns and images.
These workshops are planned as a first Tuesday afternoon of the month activity, - the next to feature the use of tissue paper. Thanks to Meredith for helping some of us to add another string to our bow, a most interesting and fun experience.
