After a quiet and grey start to the day, the crowds began moving in, the sun came out, and some young takers from the crowd joined the rear table of the Arts North stall to sample some drawing and painting activities.
Sue put her charcoal portrait of Colin on an easel at the front of the stall and a family of five enquired if they could have their portraits done. Thinking quickly on their feet Colin and Sue courageously obliged and brought smiles with their efforts. This quickly brought other interested families. By midday the stall was buzzing away with a back table full of visitors, and crowd-portrait practice and Graham's clay animation in the front.
Thanks to Meredith for organising to have the stall, and thanks to Colin, Glynis and Sue for setting up, and to everyone else who helped out.
