Judd House came alive with creative colour and activity on Wednesday 27 April as an enthusiastic audience enjoyed an informative demonstration from renowned Adelaide artist Richard Rogers.
With a good attendance by members, Richard talked us through his process of using a limited (though vibrant) palette and brush selection, with his favoured brand of acrylics, fast fixer and reopening medium, together with the versatile water misting bottle; answering questions, imbuing confidence and explaining processes along the way.
It was a thoroughly entertaining afternoon, as Richard created two stunning landscapes .. making the process of working with acrylic medium seem like a positively painless, pleasurable, quick and simple process. Oil and watercolour enthusiasts were convincingly converted!
As a result of such a successful and beneficial afternoon, there was unanimous interest in having Richard return for a full day, hands on workshop.
